CNC Top Yokes
Top Yokes came to us with an existing website that had outgrown its usefulness. The products were brilliant, genuinely niche, 100% UK manufactured, and clearly built by people who care about engineering. The website though, it did not match that standard, and it wasn’t doing enough to turn interest into orders.
So the job was to build something that felt as well made as the kits themselves.
The Goal
Create a modern e-commerce website that makes it easy for riders to:
- Find the right kit for their bike (fast, without guesswork)
- Customise it properly (finish, options, brake and clutch line cover, etc)
- Order online with confidence
- Manage orders through a proper “My Account” area
It also had to be simple enough for anyone to use, regardless of age or technical confidence, because motorcycle parts buyers range from “lives on forums” to “just wants the right part and a smooth checkout”.
The Solution
We built a WordPress + WooCommerce e-commerce site, designed around product discovery and bike specific navigation.
The structure was the key part.
Instead of a generic shop, we organised the catalogue so users could browse by manufacturer and model, then land on the exact kit they needed. Think:
Top Yoke Kits → Manufacturer → Model → Product
That sounds obvious, but it’s the difference between “nice website” and “take my money”.
Key elements included:
- Responsive design so it worked properly on mobile, tablet, and desktop
- A clean, modern layout with product imagery doing the heavy lifting
- Bike specific category navigation with quick access to popular manufacturers and models
- Customisable product options built into the buying flow (so customers can configure before checkout, not after)
- Full online shop with account area for order history, order status, and customer details
- Essential policy pages (delivery, terms, privacy, cookies) to keep everything clear and professional
- SEO foundations and tracking setup (site health, metadata, indexing support, analytics, and a plan for ongoing optimisation)
The Result
Top Yokes ended up with a website that felt like a proper storefront, not just a brochure. Easy to browse, easy to trust, and built to handle a growing product range without turning into a mess.
It positioned the brand as a serious manufacturer, made ordering smoother, and created a platform that could be actively marketed and optimised over time rather than “built once and quietly ignored”.
